Introduction into Test Driven Development

Students will learn the basics of Test Driven Development covering theoretical, methodological and practical aspects.
During the session we will investigate different testing strategies for different scenarios reaching from unit-testing
single classes in object oriented languages, unit-testing whole components as well as unit-testing in the field of
embedded systems.
Furthermore we will learn basics on how to derive and interpret different quality aspects of unit testing including
code coverage, number of tests, etc.
Language: English, German
Structure: Presentation, exercises with laptops
Required Skills: Basic knowledge in one of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, C#, TypeScript
Required Equipment: Laptop required

Mathias Rieder graduated from Fachhochschule Vorarlberg with a Masters Degree in Computer Science in 2010. He has been
working for Bachmann electronic since 2012.
Since 2018 he is working as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect mainly in the field of Language Design,
Compilers and architecting large scale distributed applications as well as mentoring and in-house training.
